L & L Hawaiian Barbecue is Hiring a Kitchen Crew Near Annandale, VA
We are looking for a Kitchen Crew to join our team at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue! The Kitchen Crew position is responsible for providing quality meal preparation in a timely manner. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe work area, following all safety guidelines, and completing assigned tasks in accordance with specified procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items in accordance with standard recipes and established methods
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of sanitation, health, safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards
- Stock and maintain restaurant equipment and supplies
- Maintain the organization of the walk-in cooler, freezer, and storage units
- Assist in maintenance of food cost control and portioning
- Set up and break down kitchen station
- Cross-train in all kitchen positions to provide assistance in all areas of the kitchen as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines when using kitchen equipment and tools
- Assist the head chef with planning menu items and developing new recipes
- Aid in implementation and adherence of of food safety and sanitation policies
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
